Quest Correspondent is an epistolary adventure designed for two players. There are optional rules for solo or groups games as well.

In Quest Correspondent, players adopt the roles of adventurers working together toward a common goal despite the great distance that separates them. Progress is relayed via letters. The more resources the players gather, the closer they are to achieving their goals—however, the threat of danger is never far.

To play, each player needs a d6 and a deck of playing cards.

Your purchase comes with the base rules document, a campaign trifold for managing your game, and two pre-written quests to get you started. Those quests are also available as a free download.

This game is setting and genre neutral. The rules and pre-written quests work well for traditional fantasy storytelling, but can also be used to tell stories that are nonfantasy, modern, science fiction, and more.

A full-color print copy of the Quest Correspondent zine can be purchased at my Etsy store!

Can this be played fully remote through letter exchanges? Like once it's going can you just play through letters? Or will you still need to get together online and talk through parts of it?

Hi! Yes, this can be played fully remote—no need for internet connection. Gameplay is tracked using the trifold (if you decide to use one) and the letters themselves (and I encourage players to include an 'OOC' portion in your letters, if you want to talk through parts of your story out of character).
